We do not request or intend to collect "sensitive" personal information beyond what you voluntarily choose to include in your listings. You are responsible for the information you choose to make public in any advertisement.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and provide the Site and its features;
  • Create and manage accounts and publish your listings;
  • Process payments and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
  • Verify age and eligibility and enforce our Terms and Conditions;

4. Legal Basis and Compliance

We are committed to handling information in accordance with all applicable laws and to acting lawfully at all times. Depending on your location, applicable laws may include the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), other U.S. state privacy laws, and, where applicable, international frameworks such as the GDPR. Where required, our processing is based on your consent, the performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate business interests, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, maintain sessions, measure traffic, and support security and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit certain features. Where required by law, we will request consent for non-essential cookies. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals at this time except as required by applicable law.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information as follows:

  • Public listings: Any content, contact details, images, and location you include in an advertisement are published publicly and may be viewed, copied, indexed by search engines, or used by others. Do not include information in a listing that you do not want to be public.
  • Service providers: With vendors who perform services on our behalf — such as hosting, payment processing, fraud prevention, age/identity verification, analytics, and customer support — under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal and safety: With law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to comply with law or legal process, to enforce our Terms, to detect or prevent illegal activity (including trafficking or exploitation), or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person. We cooperate fully with law enforcement and will preserve and disclose data as permitted or required by law.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent: Where you otherwise direct or authorize us to share.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Site, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements. We may retain certain data (including records relevant to legal compliance, safety, and law-enforcement requests) after account closure as permitted or required by law. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for the information you choose to make public. Any transmission of information is at your own risk.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your information;
  • Opt out of certain processing, including targeted advertising or any "sale" or "sharing" as defined by applicable law;

To exercise any right, contact us at privacy@themainst.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf where permitted. Note that some information may be retained as permitted by law even after a deletion request (for example, for legal compliance or fraud prevention).

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and may use third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them any information.
